Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body under the Ministry of H.R.D, Govt Of India which was started way back in 1964 for the benefit of the children of transferable employees of the Government of India. 980 schools are located allover India under 18 different regions KVS LUCKNOW REGION is one among the 18 regions which connects 58 Kendriya Vidyalayas dotted on the landscape of Uttar Pradesh Kendriya Vidyalayas have an effective and well-knit organizational set-up. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and its Board of Governors are headed by the Minister of Human Resource Development as the Chairman.
